Average house prices in London have risen above £600,000 for the first time in history, new research has shown.
The typical value of a home in Greater London, covering 32 boroughs but excluding the City, now stands at £600,076 according to analysis of Land Registry data.
Wealth manager London Central Portfolio, which carried out the research, said property prices in the capital have increased by 14 per cent this year. In the last quarter alone they have risen by a staggering 7.9 per cent, the research found.
